Why the Top Performers Have Coaches

Listen to our blog on "Why the Top Performers Have Coaches" here:

Tom Matzelle is the author of Goal Setting: Move Forward--Get Out of Your Own Way.  Tom has been a corporate and individual performance coach for over 15 years, working with Fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams, and individual leaders.  His clients have included Southwest Airlines, JP Morgan Chase, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Texas Rangers, State of Washington L & I and DOT departments, and Keller Williams Real Estate firm.

Tom helps individuals build their strengths and figure out their blind spots, as well.   Coaches help on productivity, accountability and staying on task. As a business coach, Tom uses his expertise to identify the Three P’s:

  • Person
  • Product
  • Process

Allowing individuals to be vulnerable, creating a plan and executing accordingly with guidance from the business coach. A business coach takes people to the next level, more quickly than they would be able to do without the expertise and assistance—saving you time, money and energy.

Success looks different for different people, which is expected. Where are you right now? And where do you want to be? Having a business coach on your team enables growth for individuals and their businesses.  Coaches teach others how to build attainable goals and characteristics and how to implement strategies to maintain those goals and establish habits.

It is important to look at the aspects in your life that you want to work on and see what fits for you in terms of coaching.  People must be open to change and find acceptance of a healthy lifestyle and  moving forward working on their values and beliefs and aligning those. Whether you are a business owner looking to take your personal performance to the next level, or looking to take your company’s productivity to the next level, Tom is the guy for you!

When tragedy strikes, we suffer and our business suffers.  How can you get back on top after losing everything? You must determine the factors that are most important to you and what motivates you.

  1. Money?
  2. Material Possessions?
  3. Family Time?
  4. Vacations?

When it all boils down, everyone is different and you must determine what your true motivation for life is.  Getting back on track requires confidence, setting your mind on what you want and going for it and not dwelling on your past.  Manifest your outcomes--begin to visualize your goals and what you want to complete. Do not limit yourself and set your environment.  Strategize what you want using vision boards, outlines, and lists.

"Think big, go after the big goals and have perseverance through the fear."
