In segments one and two of the Lifestyle Business Owner, Aaron and Mayumi Muller sit down with Malika Siddiq, owner of Lika Love. Lika Love is a local boutique that sells women's apparel, accessories, hand bags and jewelry.
Malika started in a truck 5 years ago and has since grown her business to 3 locations in West Seattle, Madison Valley and Lower Queen Anne.
In segment three, you hear straight from Malika herself on how to run a successful women's clothing boutique and then further expand your business. This is also where Mayumi and Aaron talk about how to buy a business, grow your profits and make it run without you, while also discussing how to get the most out of your business when you are selling.
In segment four, Aaron answers the following questions:
- Let’s say you had to start all over again. You’ve lost all your contacts, and you don’t have any money. What would you do to become a lifestyle business owner if you had to start all over again, and how long would it take you?
- I’ve been listening to your radio show, and I am interested in buying a business. However, given my age, I don’t really want to take a lot of risk. What are some businesses to buy that are considered low risk?
- I work at an environmental non-profit, and I am impressed by your book because you talk about how doing good for the environment can make business sense, and why sustainability is good for business. Could you share some thoughts on how business owners can implement sustainable practices in their companies?
- I’ve heard a lot about Facebook advertising. Do you have any tips on how to run an effective Facebook ad campaign?
